NANOPRESSO BARISTA ESPRESSO MAKER
This admittedly was a favorite tried and tested before moving aboard Polly. This wee espresso maker is amazing and makes a true espresso coffee complete with rich creme . We will be adding videos on its use as well as their new PIPAMOKA when It arrives.
We have used several of these type espresso makers and while most do an OK job this one stands out due to the Barista kit which can take a double shot of ground beans – perfect for those long watch shifts.
We owned our Nanopresso and purchased that full price years ago. Wacaco is supplying us with a Pipamoka free of charge in exchange for an endorsement. We will share with you what we think about it soon.
This amazing wee gadget is available direct from www.wacaco.com

WACACO PIPAMOKA
This is the latest cool gadget from WACACO which they kindly sent me to try out. Its very different from the Nanopresso as it is designed specifically to make a Long Black style coffee. Dark and rich with no bitterness and no creme. I wasnt a Long Black drinker until this arrived but think has changed my thinking. Its made directly using the built in double skin stainless cup which is perfect for using around the yacht.. even has its own lid and keeps hot for ages!

OUR MINI PORTABLE WASHING MACHINE
When we researched washing machines that would fit in our boat we came across the Daewoo Mini, which was our favorite choicee, but we couldn’t source it here in Greece.
So our alternative was this little portable camping washer and its really a bit surprise how well it performs. Its entirely portable, doesn’t need wiring in and is really light and best of all it does a great job. It has 2 compartments. One is for washing and rinsing and has 15 minute cycles (3.5 kg). The other compartment is for spinning and goes up to 5 minutes (2 kg), which we never had to use. Its not fully automatic and takes your presence all the way through, but men its way better than hand washing.
You fill the washing compartment with your clothes and add your washing liquid, fill it with water from bucket or waterhose or shower. Then you turn it on your 15 minute cycle and you can chill out during that time. Then you have to drain the water out. We do it either out on our deck or in a shower/toilet room. Once its drained you spin it in batches. Then you add everything to the washing compartment again, fill with water and turn on the 15 minute cycle again. Once finished, drain and spin and you are done. The washing is pretty much dry when it comes out. It can even handle our sheet sets one bed at the time.
